The Sagle Fire District is located in Bonner County, Idaho. The Fire District covers an area of 164 square miles and a permanent population of about 8,000 that varies seasonally between 10,000 - 15,000. It is divided into five Districts (see below). We provide fire protection, emergency medical services and transportation, as well as public education and training. The EMS coverage is provided under contract from Bonner County and covers 240 square miles.
We have a mixed staff consisting of 9 paid professional firefighters (1 Captain, 2 Lieutenants, 3 Engineers, 3 firefighters), a Fire Chief, 25 volunteers, and a part time District Clerk. All paid professionals and several volunteers are certified EMT's.
Presently, all responses are handled from Station One, located at 2689 Gun Club Rd., Sagle. Construction is complete station on Station Five located on Bottle Bay Rd. to cover District Five and another station is underway in Seneacqoteen that is located near Willow Bay. Both of the new stations are staffed by volunteers from the local community.
